Fire Protection Water Storage Tanks

Above Ground, Corrugated Steel by Corgal

NFPA 22 Water Tank

Corgal leads the field in the design and engineering of fire protection tanks for water storage. We produce dedicated reservoirs and water supply configurations, and each tank is individually engineered for its application. Georgia Water Tanks also provides Claval altitude valves, fire department connections, as well as other controls, for a coordinated solution to fire protection water storage needs.

Fire protection tanks from Corgal are manufactured according to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-22), Factory Manual (FM), and American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards. Corrugated Steel Above-Ground Tanks are often the most economical and longest lasting form of storage for fire protection water. Corgal offer a huge range of approved tanks that conform to NFPA-22 requirements.

The modular bolted design allows for a fast and easy installation in all types of weather and requires no field coating, welding, or cranes. The polymer liner design is less expensive intially, requires less routine maintenance, and is easier, faster, and less expensive to repair than spray coatings.

Water Storage Tank for Fire Protection

All CorGal water storage tanks are engineered to these minimum standards:

  • 100% Class 1 Structural AMERICAN MADE STEEL
  • G-115 hot dipped galvanization
  • 20-gauge steel sidewalls
  • 24-gauge steel roof panels
  • Designated bottom wall sheets to better distribute weight
  • Full tank geotextile preliner
  • 24 mil PVC flexible membrane liner
  • Schedule 80 PVC flanges or hot-dipped galvanized steel flanges

We offer a site-specific structural design calculation package (SDCP), stamped by a professional engineer licensed to practice in the project location. This ensures each tank is built to the location’s specific requirements and complies with local ordinances and laws, protecting all parties. Site specific tanks may incorporate thicker metal wall sheets or roof panels, stiffeners, heavy duty anchors, and other components to satisfy the local seismic, wind speed and live load requirements. We take engineering very seriously for the safety and security of all parties involved.

Corgal is superior in quality, and Georgia Water Tanks provides the best service in the Georgia. Our exclusive 30-year warranty on structural components is the strongest of any company like it. Georgia Water Tanks adds on to the parts-only warranty, so the WARRANTY INCLUDES LABOR.

Underground Fiberglass

by Containment Solutions

Flowtite® tanks, from Containment Solutions, can be custom built for any fire protection design. We understand the requirements of fire protection systems, and manufacture our tanks to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

By providing a dedicated source of water required by local codes in residential development, CSI fiberglass tanks are a preferred way to have access to large volumes of water. The tank provides unseen protection for the residents, yet is easily accessible for fire and municipal vehicles. Flowtite tanks are also used for commercial fire protection due to the inherent water tight properties of fiberglass and the large volume capacities.

NFPA-22 Panel Tanks

HISHITANK™ is a trusted name backed up by more than 50 years of design. The tank is composed of fiberglass-reinforced plastic panels, supported by an external steel frame, and sealed with gaskets between each panel.

Since the tank is composed of a combination of panels, it can be designed in a variety of ways. This makes it possible to install the tank in spaces where it would normally be difficult for a tank to do so, as well as to make effective use of the space.

Panel Strength

The panel strength is designed such that stress is distributed equally throughout the tank. Each project is computer analyzed, confirming displacement of all panels, and stress to any part of the panels. 10 year warranty.

Altitude Valve Fire Protection

Altitude Valves & Float Valves

by Cla-Val

The Global Leader in Automatic Control Valves

Cla-Val fire protection products provide highly accurate and reliable service in the most critical of applications. Known for dependability and superior performance, Cla-Val fire protection products can be found in nearly any type of facility on or off shore, including oil platforms, FPSOs, refineries, power plants, chemical storage facilities, mines, tunnels, aviation facilities, high-rise office and residential buildings, hospitals and historic landmarks.

Cla-Val fire products are UL and ULC listed and have Factory Mutual approval along with other industry approvals and certifications. Our products are suitable for fresh water and seawater service, and are available in a wide range of materials, including exotic materials such as Nickel Aluminum Bronze, Super Duplex Stainless Steel and Titanium. No matter how challenging your requirements are, Cla-Val has the fire protection product you need to protect lives and property.

We recommend the model 610 – 01 for most applications. The reduced port prevents low pressures in the supplying water main, while still filling faster than the fire pump can draw.
